Born with an innate interest in all things technical, I grew to know that the more difficult the problem, the more it interests me. I love difficult and involved problems. There is little I like more than sitting down with a problem, art-based or technical and finding a solution that has eluded others.
I have designed and built complex robotics and structurally difficult large objects. I have been invited to international 3d printing conventions. I have experience combining motion and computer control in robotics I have built from scratch as well as integrating professional robotics. I have designed CNC production systems capable of running more than 20 hours unattended using industrial robotics.
Starting with AutoCAD moving to Rhino and now spending the last 15 years with Solidworks, my expansive history with CAD has enabled me to create large complicated, accurate 3D models of astounding beauty and clarity. I have given lectures on Solidworks, and have been asked to use my work for Solidworks company demonstrations. I’m also able to work with blender and other Mesh-based 3D to produce soft 3D models Solidworks is not capable of modeling. I can combine the strengths of these and many other programs to complete complex and amazing projects. I’m able to produce technical drawings and 3D models that can be delivered to fabricators and factories with details of production and superior levels of clarity.
I have built my own CNC machine tools designing parts and integrating CNC controls on older equipment and have used them in production. I have worked with embedded software using microcontrollers and PLCs to produce my own sculptures and produce EXOvault’s products.

I designed and built a six stage planetary gearbox system designed to reduce motor speed 41,000 times. The system then slow articulated a pump that pumped hydraulic fluid into a large cylinder moving a sculpture.
I designed and built a room-sized robotic sculpture that simulates the throwing of a beer bottle against a wall.
The beer bottle breaks and is reconstructed again and again.
I designed and build a room sized 3d printer that prints in salt.
The printer was suspended by four cables which allowed it to move to any location in the space. The printhead contained salt that it used as a print material.

I designed and engineered the structural core to large scale sculptures for Z Behl built in Saudi Arabia.

I designed and built an Invisible Sphere made up of 215 monitors connected to 215 cameras directly across the sphere.
A Teacup was dropped to the floor and a robot was built to put it back together and break it again.

I built a printer that prints with a mechanical pencil. I can sense when the pencil lead is low and will click the pencil to extend the lead.
